He resided in North Strabane Twp, Washington Co., PA for over 60 years, but in the last two years lived in Peters Twp, where he died. He was a soldier in the war of 1812 and he was a strong opponent of slavery.
He may have remarried after his first wife died to a Nancy, b. 1793. However, after marriage she lived with various relatives of Alexander's. Possibly the marriage did not work out. She died in 1881 in Hocking County, OH.
Per a county history he moved to Allegheny Co., PA in 1815. He was in the census in Cecil Twp in 1820 so he must have moved there for only a few years.
