Per Nancy McConnell's biography in Washington County, PA, her father was Benjamin McConnell and she was born in Greene Co., PA. In 1830 in Greene County, only the household of John McConnell had females under 5, so she had to be in that household. Benjamin would have to be one of the three older males in the household. All these McConnells disappeared by 1840.
No census records of Benjamin could be found. Either he died or Benjamin was a middle name and he was one of the McConnells living in Washington Co., PA.
